Do your recall the news today
Or listen to the words I say
Theirs a man that says that I should pray
Prepare my soul for judgment day
Ooh, Ooh
But there are people living in the streets
Without enough food to eat
And I see their faces every day
How they stay alive I cant say
The Devil walks down every road
And looks for those who’ll sell their soul
For riches now he’ll pay in gold
And cashes in when we are old
The politicians in the news
Don’t walk around in warn out shoes
But those who come in last today
Will be the first on judgment day
Ooh, Ooh
Last night I dreamed in black and white
With no regret to satisfy
And the ones I’d loved who’d gone before
Were there and they all seamed so poor
Then all their eyes turned into red
And I realized that I was dead
So I got down on my knees to pray
But they just turned and walked away
Do your recall the news today
Or listen to the words I say
Theirs a man that says that I should pray
Prepare my soul for judgment day
This is a wonderful album. It is personal, senitive, and caring. I love to here Sturgill sing, and wish had found him earlier. I thsnk wnku for playing local artists. I lived in Jackson Ky. And know how sad the drugs have made so many hometowns. Keep singing you are great. carolfaulkner

Heard this on WNCW today and listened on repeat all day. Had to buy the vinyl and show my support. This is gonna be my summer 2020 album and I’m perfectly fine with that. Great work and look forward to the streams later this month. Find the podcast from Southern Songs & Stories about the band and album. mrsoulmarkj
